Tafsir Al-Ayyashi
Tafsir al-‘Ayyashi, written by Muhammad b. Mas'ud al-‘Ayyashi, is a significant Shi'a hadith-based Qur'anic exegesis from the Minor Occultation period. It interprets the Qur'an through hadith, focusing particularly on jurisprudential aspects, especially the verses of rulings (Ayat al-Ahkam). Unlike other early Shi'a exegeses like Tafsir al-Qummi, al-‘Ayyashi's work is noted for its detailed attention to Islamic law and theology, addressing both Shi'a and non-Shi'a sects. It remains an important source in Shi'a exegesis, though some criticisms arise from the omission of hadith transmitters in the text.
