It is our responsibility to re-examine what we have been taught to chant and to return to what the Imams themselves actually taught. With this intention of sincere re-examination, we have curated a brief documentation entitled “Did Imām Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī (ʿalayhi al-salām) Carry Out a Revolution or Qiyām?”
In this document, we examine whether Imām Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī (ʿalayhi al-salām) carried out a revolution or qiyām, on what basis such an action would have occurred, and—most importantly—whether Imām Ḥusayn (ʿalayhi al-salām) ever intended to establish a revolution in the first place.
