Being Negligent About Prayer(Namaz)

Imam al-Baqir(as) says:
Do not be negligent with your prayer, for the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) said at the time of his death: "Not from me is one who takes his prayer lightly, not from me is one who drinks intoxicants, they will not meet me at the Pool, by Allah."

Namaz: The pillar of Religion

Imam Al-Baqir(as) says:
Prayer is the pillar of religion. Its example is like the pole of a tent - when the pole is firm, the pegs and ropes are firm. When the pole leans and breaks, no peg or rope remains firm.

Prayers won't be accepted if taken lightly

Imam as-Sadeq(as) says:
By Allah, fifty years may pass over a man and Allah has not accepted a single prayer from him. What could be harder than this? By Allah, you know among your neighbors and companions those who, if they were to pray for some of you, it would not be accepted due to their taking it lightly. Indeed Allah only accepts what is good, so how would He accept what is taken lightly?!

Acceptance of Prayer Depends on Presence of Heart

Imam al-Baqir(as) says:

Only that part of your prayer in which you engage with your full attention is accepted. So if one is inattentive in all of it or careless in his performance of it, that same prayer is crumpled up and thrown back in his face.
