Intellect(Aql) And Ignorance(Jahl)
NARRATION 1
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْجَهْمِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الرِّضَا (a.s) يَقُولُ صَدِيقُ كُلِّ امْرِئٍ عَقْلُهُ وَعَدُوُّهُ جَهْلُهُ.
Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ibn Faddal from al-Hassan ibn al-Jahm that he heard (Imam) al-Ridha (a.s) saying, “The friend of every person is his intellect and his enemy is ignorance.”
NARRATION 2
قَالَ كَانَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (a.s) يَقُولُ بِالْعَقْلِ اسْتُخْرِجَ غَوْرُ الْحِكْمَةِ وَبِالْحِكْمَةِ اسْتُخْرِجَ غَوْرُ الْعَقْلِ وَبِحُسْنِ السِّيَاسَةِ يَكُونُ الادَبُ الصَّالِحُ
Ameerul momineen(PBUH) says:
Through Intellect, the essence of wisdom is extracted, and through wisdom, the essence of Intellect is extracted. With good governance of actions, the righteous manners are formed.
Through Intellect, the essence of wisdom is extracted, and through wisdom, the essence of Intellect is extracted. With good governance of actions, the righteous manners are formed.
