Masturbation and Bestiality
عدة من أصحابنا، عن أحمد بن محمد بن خالد، عن العلاء بن رزين، عن رجل، عن أبي عبد الله (عليه السلام) قال: سألته عن الخضخضة، فقال: هي من الفواحش ونكاح الأمة خير منه.
A man Asked Imam Jafar(as) about al-khadkhadah(masturbation), and Imam replied:
'It is among the indecent acts (fawāḥish), and sexual relations with a slave woman is better than it.'"

Masturbation is the satanic worship
سئل الصادق عليه السلام عن الخضخضة فقال: إثم عظيم قد نهى الله تعالى عنه في كتابه، وفاعله كناكح نفسه، ولو علمت بمن يفعله ما أكلت معه، فقال السائل: فبين لي يا ابن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله من كتاب الله نهيه؟ فقال: قول الله " فمن ابتغى وراء ذلك فأولئك هم العادون " هو مما وراء ذلك فقال الرجل: أيما أكبر الزنا أو هي؟ قال: هو ذنب عظيم قد قال القائل: بعض الذنوب أهون من بعض، والذنوب كلها عظيم عند الله لأنها معاص، وإن الله لا يحب من العباد العصيان، وقد نهانا الله عن ذلك، لأنها من عمل الشيطان وقال " لا تعبدوا الشيطان إن الشيطان لكم عدو فاتخذوه عدوا إنما يدعوا حزبه ليكونوا من أصحاب الجحيم
Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) was asked about al-khaḍkhaḍah (masturbation), and he said:
“It is a great sin (ʾithm ʿaẓīm), which Allah, the Exalted, has forbidden in His Book. Whoever does it is like one who marries himself. And if I knew someone who did it, I would not eat with him.”
The questioner then said:
“Clarify for me, O son of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family), from the Book of Allah, where He has forbidden it.”
Imam al-Sadiq (a) replied:
“Allah says: ‘But whoever seeks beyond that, then they are the transgressors’ [Surah al-Mu’minun, 23:7].
This act (masturbation) falls under ‘beyond that’.”
Then the man asked:
“Which is greater: zina (fornication) or this (masturbation)?”
The Imam said:
“It is a great sin. As the saying goes, ‘some sins are lighter than others’, but all sins are great in the sight of Allah, for they are acts of disobedience.
And Allah does not love disobedience from His servants.
He has forbidden us from it, for it is from the acts of Satan.
And Allah said: ‘Do not worship Satan — indeed, he is a clear enemy to you. Take him as an enemy. He only invites his followers to be among the companions of the Hellfire’ [Surah Fatir, 35:6].”

the one who masturbates is cursed
رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله): ناكح الكف ملعون
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said:
"The one who has intercourse with his hand (i.e., masturbates) is cursed."

Imam's Punishment for Masturbation
أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال إن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام أتي برجل عبث بذكره فضرب يده حتى احمرت ثم زوجه من بيت المال. وتقدم في رواية أبي بصير (7) من باب (22) جواز جز الشيب من أبواب شعر الرأس قوله عليه السلام ثلاثة لا يكلمهم الله يوم القيامة ولا ينظر إليهم ولا يزكيهم ولهم عذاب اليم الناكح نفسه.
Imam Abu ‘Abdillah (Ja‘far al-Sadiq, peace be upon him) said:
"The Commander of the Faithful (Imam Ali, peace be upon him) was brought a man who had played with his private part (i.e., masturbated), so he struck his hand until it turned red, then married him off at the expense of the public treasury (Bayt al-Māl)."
