Hadith Scan
Imtāʿ al-Asmā pg. 273 by: Al-Maqrizi:
قال القاضي عياض في قوله ﷺ وفضل عائشة على النساء كفضل الثريد على سائر الطعام : وليس فيه ما يشعر بتفضيلها على فاطمة إذ قد يكون تمثيل تفضيل فاطمة لو مثلها مما هو أرفع من هذا وبالجملة من هذا الحديث أن عائشة مفضلة على النساء تفضيلاً كثيراً وليس فيه عموم جميع النساء
وقوله ﷺ فاطمة سيدة نساء أهل الجنة أعم وأظهر في التفضيل
Qadi ‘Iyad said about the Prophet’s ﷺ saying, 'The superiority of Aisha over women is like the superiority of Tharid over other foods': This does not imply her superiority over Fatima, as the comparison might be made with something more exalted. In summary, from this hadith, it is understood that Aisha is greatly preferred over many women, but it does not imply superiority over all women.
The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Fatima is the leader of the women of Paradise,' which is broader and more evident in superiority.
