Hadith Scan
حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب ، ثنا أحمد بن عبد الجبار ، ثنا يونس بن بكير ، عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن ، عن الحكم ، عن مقسم ، عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال : قتل رجل من المشركين يوم الخندق فطلبوا أن يواروه ، " فأبى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم حتى أعطوه الدية " ، وقتل من بني عامر بن لؤي عمرو بن عبد ود قتله علي بن أبي طالب مبارزة " .
From Ibn Abbas (ra) who said: "A man from the polytheists was killed on the Day of Khandaq, and they requested to conceal his body. Rasulullah (sw) refused until they gave him the blood money (diyyah), and a man from the tribe of Banu Amir b. Lu'ay, named 'Amr b. Abd Widd, was killed by Ali b. Abi Talib in a single combat."
