Ibn Manzur states in In Lisan al Arab:
والنَّواصِبُ قومٌ يَتَدَيَّنُونَ ببِغْضَةِ عليّ عليه السلام
“Nawasib are those who embrace the hate of Ali (as) as part of their faith”
