Description:
The distinction is rebutted by what is narrated from ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her), that she breastfed an adult, thereby making him unlawful (to marry). If it had been forbidden, she would not have done so, and none of the Companions objected to her; thus it amounted to a consensus on invalidating this distinction. This was stated by al-Qarāfī.
