Hadith Scan
he replied quoting the hadith of abu hurayrah:“may allah curse the women who frequently visit graves.”
if it is said: the prohibition of that was abrogated, as some others have claimed, it is answered: this is not sound. for his saying, “i had forbidden you from visiting graves, but now visit them,” is a statement addressed to men, as the wording is masculine and specific to males, or at most, it includes others only by extension. if it is specific to men, then there is no mention of women; and if it includes others generally, then that wording is general. however, his saying, “may allah curse the women who visit graves frequently,” is specific to women, excluding men.
